As a worship leader and graphic designer (not a pro by any means), I understand the challenge to keep things fresh. From background images to video loops, it can be quite difficult to avoid feeling like you’ve been doing the same thing or using the same files time and time again.
Then you are faced with the cost to download things from stock sites or worship video sites, etc. This can become uber-expensive.
Don’t you wish that there were some free sites out there that have decent resources?
Well, for those of you who are in my shoes – full-time or part-time – I have found some great freebies for you. Feel free to share yours with me as well – I’ll just keep adding to the list.
Here they are:
____________________________________________________________
#1) Stock Xchange. This site provides free stock images to the masses! Much of their work is incredible as it is a compilation of hundreds of artists across the globe. Word of warning: please exercise caution when using ANY stock site. There may be objectionable material.
#2) ConsumingWorship.org. These guys have a nice compilation of worship backgrounds. Very fresh and trendy stuff.
#3) FreeWorshipBackgrounds.com. This site is not as extensive as the others, but for most of the graphics they’ve created, they give you four different color options. This can be very useful when planning out worship sets or designing a PowerPoint template.
#4) OrganicVideos.com. For those of you who that use moving backgrounds, this site has some great looking freebies. If you have a video converter, you can even use these loops to create your own videos.
#5) FreeMotionBackgrounds.com. Similar to the aforementioned site, this site has a few nice video loops that you can download for free. Only a few are available, but if you are like me, you’ll take what you can get!
#6) Photo Bank. This is another free stock site. It is similar to Stock Xchange Once again, please be careful with your searches. The best stuff I’ve found on this site is under the section called “Abstract” > “Backgrounds and Patterns”.
#6) DaFont.com. Fonts can be extremely expensive. That is why this site is such an awesome resource. There are literally hundreds of fonts on that site, and a lot of them are pretty useful.
#7) CreativeMYK.com. This site offers free church-based resources. PSDs, JPEGs, and EPS files are all available.
#8) Stuff I Can Use. This site is particularly helpful with sermon series graphics. It is provided free-of-charge by Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any sites that I can add to this list. It’s tough enough to be creative as it is. “With our powers combined…”

This was a great list. Thanks for putting it together.
Wow. Thanks for the inclusion on your list. I don’t know that anything I’ve ever done has been called “fresh” or “trendy” before. Not really sure I deserve inclusion on this list. I feel like a small fish swimming among the giant whales.
Thanks.
Thanks for the links, Todd. Another good site with lots of free, helpful content is: http://www.stufficanuse.com/
Hey, thanks for inclusion of freemotionbackgrounds.com!
I created that site a year ago and since learned a lot more After tricks allowing me to create cooler stuff which I’m putting up at my new site – New Worship Media.
I’m planning on adding countdown videos (I just finished my first, but have not had a chance to upload it yet) and more free motion backgrounds in addition to the ones I’ve already added there.
Enjoy!
great work thank you ‘-)))
